About Cage Free Voices Online Learning

Cage Free Voices Online Tutoring is interest-based and personalized learning. We value your child’s passions and therefore allow the co-creation of learning plans that not only reflect your child’s needs, but what piques their curiosity.

CFV offers reading services for students who may not have received all the tools necessary in primary school to succeed, the adult learner who wants to freshen up a bit, and the beginner who is eager to get started.

Each semester, Cage Free Voices takes on students for tutoring. We provide online tutoring where students meet with the tutor for a minimum of 30 minutes each week. We offer flexible scheduling and personalized learning plans. Our interdisciplinary focus is centered on reading, grammar, and writing with embedded components of history, science, and math.

How We Measure Progress

Reading

Cage Free Voices Online Learning uses software to measure student Lexile gains. “Achieve3000 is the leader in differentiated instruction. Achieve3000’s online literacy solutions reach all students one-on-one at their individual reading levels, accelerating their reading gains, boosting their performance on high-stakes tests, and preparing them for college and career.”

At the start of tutoring, students take a Lexile assessment and receive an individualized learning plan that outlines reading materials based on student interest. A timetable for student reading level progression is included. This timetable allows parents to monitor progress beyond one-on-one online sessions. Significant improvements are noticed over a month or more using our Cage Free Voices Curriculum content. See the samples below:

Math

DreamBox Learning Math is an adaptive, online K-8 math program designed to complement classroom instruction and deliver results. Your student will be assessed for their first session. Those taking Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, or Calculus will follow a different set of steps, using the CFV Math Curriculum used by our tutors.
