The Power of Positive Leadership (A course created by Bathsheba Smithen working in cooperation with Oulu University Teacher Training School, Finland)Introduction: Organizational culture and climate determine job performance and job satisfaction. Leadership in any industry is only effective when there is employee buy-in and staff feel supported, given they have been granted the liberty to execute their function in a way that is conducive to their unique learning styles and creativity. Positive leaders build on employee strengths while also providing room for development in areas of improvement. They create nurturing environments of inquisition and constructive feedback which lead not only to organizational transformation and product development, but more transformational leaders.
